heading into the Summer - we’re teaming up with our good friends at P_ssy Party, and international music platform Resident Advisor for the Joburg edition of Community Connections - a series of events, radio shows, meetups and workshops in collaboration with local community collectives, spaces, and radio stations. Co-ordinated and organized with RA’s Global Content team.
Hosted at The Plug in Melville - the event will begin with a P_ssy Party-facilitated panel discussion - delving into Johannesburg’s electronic music community; accessibility to event organisation, community-building strategies and more - featuring a panel of Vouge Nights Jozi founder, Lelo Meslani; Deep Town Jozi’s DJ Hara, Homecoming Events’ managing director, Athabile Ngxamngxa, and Resident Advisor’s Johannesburg City Manager, Nickita Maesela.
After the discussion - Lilies Radio residents + friends soundtrack the evening - featuring DJ sets from Kaddy, Aureli, Deniece Marz & Buhle Mbongwa.
