we're pleased to present CORDOVAN GHOSTAL's debut release on the Lilies label - a short and dreamy three-track project titled, 'The Prelude: Calm Before the Storm'.

the world of CBTS is quite moody, with moments of light just peeking through, at times. but beneath the hazy wall of guitar riffs and the sampled jungle drum breaks (a sign that shows the influences club music has had on his work), there's a real rawness you can hear in his vocal delivery and lyrics.

if this project has anything to go by - beyond perfectly setting the tone for the release of his full-length project due for later this year - it is that GHOSTAL is carving out a path in sound that feels entirely unique to him, and it is here to stay.
