Mongo

Directed by Jesse Chitter

The world of Mongo is set almost entirely within a single frame - like a voyeur watching events unfold right before them, your eye often drifts towards the little details that you’d have never seen if you were fully there, in the moment.

There’s so much going on, things happening at all angles and corners, much like the song itself. Frenetic trumpet lines matched with cars passing by, or the odd flash of random light; the many Fernando’s slowly wandering through this strange, dark underworld are akin to the morphing bass that’s often hiding behind the drums, showing up as if it’s always been there. Nobody can really tell.
